JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

 Responsible for the fabrication of various metal parts through various processes and methods including bending, forming, punching, or other operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 Consults blueprints, work orders, and/or schematics to safely construct specified structure; develops additional sketches if needed.

 Selects appropriate material, technique, and tool(s) for each job based on job specifications and requirements.

 Programs press brake controller and installs/adjusts tooling according to specifications and/or drawings.

 Bends metal pieces to specification following work orders, drawings, and/or directions.

 Uses appropriate machinery and software applications to complete assigned jobs.

 Coordinates with other process owners to ensure seamless transition of the production process.

 Uses discretion and sound judgement skills to make independent, task-specific decisions.

 Ensures work practices are compliant with all OSHA and ISO standards.

 Ensures proper utilization of required PPE and task-specific tools and equipment to ensure the highest level of safety for self and others.

 Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.

 Follows all company and job-specific safety rules and regulations.

 Performs other duties as assigned, such as operating a machine or other related tasks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

 Ability to read blueprints and schematics to understand product assignment.

 Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation.

 Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.

 Ability to complete fabrication projects with accuracy and precision.

 Ability to safely use machinery and tools involved in sheet metal work.

 Demonstrated ability to operate independently with little to no direct oversight or supervision.

 Demonstrated use of discretion and sound judgement skills to make task-specific decisions.

 Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable safety, health and environmental regulations.

 Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

CREDENTIALS, CERTIFICATIONS & INDUSTRY-SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE  High school diploma or equivalent required.

 Ability to demonstrate required proficiency level/competency to successfully perform job.
