Assembler
Job Summary
- Assembles a variety of products or sub-assemblies of various sizes and weighted parts following standard procedures.
- May operate on First Shift (6:00am – 2:30pm) or Second Shift (1:30pm – 12:00am).
Description
- Prepares for assignment by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Assembles a variety of products or sub-assemblies with the use of standard procedures.
- May perform electrical or mechanical connections/assembly.
- Work may require filing, grinding and/or adjusting parts as needed.
- References drawings, diagrams, or blueprints as guides for performing assembly tasks.
- Follows all instructions, requirements and standards.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component and ensuring accuracy in work.
- Performs Quality Control Inspections to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Keeps accurate production and quality records, and documents work procedures.
- Ensures work practices are compliant with all OSHA and ISO standards.
- Ensures proper utilization of required PPE and task-specific tools and equipment to ensure the highest level of safety for self and others.
- Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Follows all company and job-specific safety rules and regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year experience in manufacturing or related field preferred.
- Specialized electrical knowledge, based on specific task.
- Ability to operate fixtures and assemblies.
- Fork truck and/or crane certification a plus.
- Ability to demonstrate required proficiency level/competency to successfully perform job.
