The position’s responsibilities include;


  • Analyzing MRP output to schedule all parts and materials under his/her control.
  • Minimize inventory and set planning rules for maximum manufacturing efficiencies.
  • Responsible for the creation of work orders
  • Resolve inventory problems to ensure material is available for Assembly and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Review drawing changes to determine effect on production schedule and proper disposition of prior level inventory.


The Production Planning role focuses around producing timely results that are high quality and accurate in order to create a manufacturing plan that optimizes output.  This job demands deep knowledge and expertise and to do it successfully depends on understanding detailed information.  The job requires an ability to deal with abstract concepts, systems and ideas and all of that in an organized and self-disciplined way.  It also requires that serious consideration be given to all possibly related facts and potential problems. 




  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training program, and 3-5 years experience in planning and production manufacturing
  • Strong background in Excel, Access and ERP systems 
  • APICS membership and experience with SYSPRO a plus


Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and background.
